Accountant - fixed assets (Wichita, KS)

Silverline Kestrel Insurance Partners is an insurance company in Wichita with claims and service teams. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to policy renewals, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around underwriting files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
