Accountant - fixed assets (Wichita, KS)

Clearpath Wilder Insurance Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to premium billing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
