Accountant - fixed assets (Wichita, KS)

Ironwood Meridian Farms Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for packing house output, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to packing house output, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with packing house output. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
