Accountant - fixed assets (Wichita, KS)

Highbridge Timber Property Management is a Wichita property manager with leasing, maintenance and resident services. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. We are flexible about schedules. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to rent collection, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around vendor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with rent collection. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
