Accountant - fixed assets (Virginia Beach, VA)

Amberfield Cross Telecom Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for outage reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage reports, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
