Accountant - fixed assets (Virginia Beach, VA)

Amberfield Quarry Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing accounts, and clear open items. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
