Accountant - fixed assets (Tulsa, OK)

Westbrook Juniper Civic Services works with county and city offices around Tulsa. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people based in Tulsa. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around procurement against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with public records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Tulsa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
