Accountant - fixed assets (Tulsa, OK)

Redstone Iron Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Tulsa area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Tulsa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
