Accountant - fixed assets (Tucson, AZ)

We are growing our team at Summit Sable Financial and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around vendor spend against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
