Accountant - fixed assets (Tucson, AZ)

Nova Harbor Health is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for insurance authorisations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 33 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Track costs around referrals against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with insurance authorisations.
