Accountant - fixed assets (Toledo, OH)

Nova Umber Banking Services is a regional lender in Toledo with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account openings, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with account openings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Toledo. • We reply to every applicant.
