Accountant - fixed assets (Toledo, OH)

Greenridge River Manufacturing makes precision components in Toledo. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 123 people based in Toledo. What you will do • Track costs around machine downtime against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with production lines. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Toledo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
