Accountant - fixed assets (Toledo, OH)

Stonegate Junction Housing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for resident services, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Housing is our mission and residents are our neighbours. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to resident services, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with resident services. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Toledo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
