Accountant - fixed assets (Toledo, OH)

Amberfield Cobalt Learning Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for school calendars, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Families are partners. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around learning materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school calendars, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Toledo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
