Accountant - fixed assets (Tampa, FL)

Foxglove Summit Construction Group delivers building projects for owners across the Tampa region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around permits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to subcontractor invoices, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with subcontractor invoices. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Tampa. • We reply to every applicant.
