Accountant - fixed assets (Tampa, FL)

Greenridge Forge Farms is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Tampa. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cold storage, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around grower contracts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Tampa. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
