Accountant - fixed assets (Tampa, FL)

Clearpath Cedar Hospitality is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for supplier orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 801 people based in Tampa. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around guest bookings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
