Accountant - fixed assets (St. Louis, MO)

Amberfield Wilder Water Authority is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for water quality, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to water quality, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in St. Louis. • We reply to every applicant.
