Accountant - fixed assets (St. Louis, MO)

Lumen Pike Auto Group serves drivers and dealerships across the St. Louis region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with service appointments. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
