Accountant - fixed assets (St. Louis, MO)

Highbridge Clear Telecom is a telecommunications provider in St. Louis focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around customer tickets against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
