Accountant - fixed assets (St. Louis, MO)

Highbridge Legal Group is a law firm in St. Louis serving businesses and individuals. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 198 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around trust accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client files, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with client files. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
