Accountant - fixed assets (St. Louis, MO)

Highbridge Cross Banking Services Group is a community-focused bank in St. Louis serving households and small businesses, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around fraud alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
