Accountant - fixed assets (Spokane, WA)

Foxglove Fern Freight Group is a Spokane logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 818 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Track costs around claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to carrier rates, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Spokane. • We reply to every applicant.
