Accountant - fixed assets (Spokane, WA)

Summit North Markets is a Spokane retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with pricing. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Spokane. • We reply to every applicant.
