Accountant - fixed assets (Spokane, WA)

Cedar Stone Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Spokane, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Spokane. • We reply to every applicant.
