Accountant - fixed assets (Spokane, WA)

Clearpath Mill Arts Center is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for school partnerships, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Track costs around event logistics against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school partnerships, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with school partnerships. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
