Accountant - fixed assets (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Meadow Manufacturing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to tooling, and clear open items. • Track costs around production lines against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
