Accountant - fixed assets (Savannah, GA)

Clearpath Forge Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for account openings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 368 people based in Savannah. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around deposit accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account openings, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
