Accountant - fixed assets (Savannah, GA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Timber Property Management Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 285 people based in Savannah. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to rent collection, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around resident events against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with rent collection. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
