Accountant - fixed assets (Savannah, GA)

Bright Basin Banking Services is a regional lender in Savannah with branches and a growing mobile service. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 104 people based in Savannah. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fraud alerts, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with fraud alerts. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Savannah. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
