Accountant - fixed assets (San Jose, CA)

Stonegate Keystone Energy is an energy provider in San Jose focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 855 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around usage data against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to hardship programmes, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
