Accountant - fixed assets (San Jose, CA)

Bluepeak Amber Medical Partners is a San Jose company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with training materials. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
