Accountant - fixed assets (San Diego, CA)

Bluepeak Meridian Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across San Diego. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 200 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
