Accountant - fixed assets (San Diego, CA)

Bluepeak Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Track costs around proof of delivery against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loads and lanes, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
