Accountant - fixed assets (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Haven Staffing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We are in the people business and act like it. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around retention against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to timekeeping, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with timekeeping. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
