Accountant - fixed assets (San Diego, CA)

Foxglove Ridge Construction Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for materials orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to materials orders, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
