Accountant - fixed assets (San Antonio, TX)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Ivory Banking Services Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fraud alerts, and clear open items. • Track costs around loan files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Antonio. • We reply to every applicant.
