Accountant - fixed assets (San Antonio, TX)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Willow Construction and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around project schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to change orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
