Accountant - fixed assets (San Antonio, TX)

Stonegate Fern Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for outage reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage reports, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
