Accountant - fixed assets (San Antonio, TX)

Redstone Cedar Civic Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for constituent requests, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 152 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around permits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with constituent requests. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
