Accountant - fixed assets (San Antonio, TX)

Summit Clear Arts Center Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for exhibitions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 223 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to exhibitions, and clear open items. • Track costs around volunteer programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with exhibitions.
