Accountant - fixed assets (Salt Lake City, UT)

Lumen West Farms is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for field records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around harvest schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with field records.
