Accountant - fixed assets (Salt Lake City, UT)

Nova Mill Farms is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for harvest schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Track costs around seasonal crews against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to harvest schedules, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with harvest schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
