Accountant - fixed assets (Salt Lake City, UT)

Redstone Rook Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Salt Lake City. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 45 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to classroom supplies, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
