Accountant - fixed assets (Salt Lake City, UT)

Greenridge Pine Community Partners Group is a Salt Lake City charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 167 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Track costs around grant reporting against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
