Accountant - fixed assets (Sacramento, CA)

We are growing our team at Bright Loom Community Partners and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 22 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around benefits enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to grant reporting, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with grant reporting. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Sacramento. • We reply to every applicant.
