Accountant - fixed assets (Sacramento, CA)

Bright Cross Health Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for insurance authorisations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around patient scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with insurance authorisations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
