Accountant - fixed assets (Rochester, NY)

We are growing our team at Bright Rowan Foods and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer specifications, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around production batches against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer specifications. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
