Accountant - fixed assets (Richmond, VA)

Westbrook Technologies is a healthcare provider in Richmond with clinics and support teams. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinic supplies, and clear open items. • Track costs around insurance authorisations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
