Accountant - fixed assets (Reno, NV)

Greenridge Oak Foods Group produces packaged foods at its Reno plant, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 726 people based in Reno. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around cold storage against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to sanitation schedules, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
